A New Bag

What girl can't use a new bag? Especially when it is a quick, easy knit. This has been my pseudo-train knitting (because I've been knitting it at home too).

The yarn is Valley Yarns in Amethyst. I'm knitting on size 8 needles with just one strand of yarn. I just started the gusset, but I need to decide what to do for handles, any suggestions?

Here is the train scarf that I completed a while back:

It still hasn't been washed because I've been too busy (and too lazy!).

What a gorgeous picture of the bag!
Felted i-cord? (I know how you love it so...)

I have seen that bag done in green and then she used a brown belt for the handle. I turned out really cute! Here is the link to the post: http://froginknots.blogspot.com/2006/07/bag-lady.html

the bag is lovely! :-)

how is the size thusfar? is it as small as you predicted?

ps- thank you SO much for the math help on the sweater. i'm DETERMINED not to make another monster...it's not purple, and thus cannot fail!
