Classes started today. I still have one more to teach (at 6:30). In the first two classes, I simply went over the syllabus and let them leave early. But this class coming up is a once a weeker, so there isn't a lot of time. I've been battling a headache most of the day that came on after my vision went all weird and blurry. I've never had that happen before. I think my just allergic to work and my office.
In trying to kill time between classes, I made myself a schedule. The schedule will go into effect on Monday:
- Monday: Work on lectures and PowerPoints for class that meets Tuesday/Thursday
- Tuesday: Work on lectures and PPs for class that meets Tuesday/Thursday/Friday (such that lectures are set for Thursday/Friday/Tuesday)
- Wednesday: Work on lectures and PPs for class that meets Tuesday nights
- Thursday: Work on Research (this is a much needed day!!!)
- Friday: Catch up on whatever wasn't finished OR Get ahead (if possible)
This schedule seems completely doable for me (excepting this week which will be tough and crazy because I was a bigger slacker over the break). We'll see how long the schedule lasts. I'm putting it out to the world here so that I can (and you can) hold me accountable.
In knitting news, I started THIS with the Noro Silk Garden I "recycled" from my Klaralund. I'm about 50% through the left front. And hey, I told the blog before I told Ravelry!! Pics maybe tomorrow.

Oo, no! I hope your headache went away! And that your class went well.
That is a busy schedule.

Wow. That's a teaching load. How many hours total are you teaching? And how much research are you expected to do?

Vision weird and blurry and then a headache sounds like a migraine. It's possible to get them without excruciating pain or the other symptoms. I'd keep an eye on it. From your friendly, neighborhood migraine sufferer.
