Kevin and I are both a bit exhausted today from having a very music-filled last three days (well, two of the three days).
Sunday night we went with a bunch of friends to see Iron Maiden at MSG. We had some drinks and dinner before hand and managed to time our arrival right as the band was taking the stage. The show was really awesome and energetic. Despite a technical difficulty that cut the sound for about 5 or so minutes, we had a great time. I surprised myself that I knew a lot more of the words to the songs than I thought I did.
Then in an entirely different musical genre, we went back to MSG last night to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. This time it was just me and Kevin and we ate some delicious, greasy pizza at our favorite pizza place in Penn Station. The show was really great and a good mix of his greatest hits and lesser known songs. There was a bit too much Steve Winwood (he played over an hour as the opening act) and Tom Petty didn't take the stage until nearly 10pm. Needless to say it was a very late night for a Tuesday.

I'm actually over at my office right now. I came here in part to fix my voicemail finally and for something more exciting that I'll share tomorrow. Being here certainly isn't inspiring me to do any work. There's some incessant concrete drilling going on outside that is giving me a headache and the hallways are like a ghost town, which is kind of creepy. Despite being in the mid-70s outside, my office is like an oven because it has been closed up for several weeks. I'm also realizing how much of a mess it is and how I really need to come in just to clean it up.
Minor knitting news... I finally turned the heel on the 90% ribbed sock... never ever ever decide to do a short-row ribbed heel. A normal short-row heel takes me about 45-60 minutes depending on the needle size and number of stitches. This damn heel took me about 4 days, mostly because I didn't want to do it.
