First day of school was spent not in class, but at the ER. I slipped and fell and did something awful to my elbow. It may or may not be broken. Fingers crossed that it is just a sprain, and I'll be better by Friday.
Any ideas of what you can do one-handed/armed with your non-dominant arm? (Other than very slow typing.) I've watched 4 episodes of Roseanne this morning and am bored!! I can't knit or play video games. It is hard to hold a book. I don't feel like typing lectures. I need entertainment ideas!

Ouch, Kim! I hope it isn't broken. How about reading books online at Google? They now have magazines and also knitting books.

oh no, this is awful! maybe you can get one of those book stands, where it just kind of sits propped up on an easel on the table in front of you. though that is kind of awkward. i hope its not broken. feel better soon!

I knew someone who used a teddy bear as a book holder....

Oh, it looks so sad. The Google books idea sounds pretty good -- did you try it?
You could always go out & go yarn shopping... :-)

OWWW!
Do you have Netflix? Video on demand is not so bad. And magazines might be easier to hold than books.

oh dear, I hope it is not broken. But if you want pointers on how to entertain yourself for 3 months while healing feel free to email me. I broke both elbows (very long story) on Fathers day and was out of commission til Sept. then I had 2 surgeries on my left elbow and am finally back to good as new. Good luck

Well, if you hold the working yarn in your left hand I have an idea for knitting that would only work with straights. Hold the needle you normally would hold in your right hand between your legs (or in some other fashion so it is stablish) and then attempt to knit as normal. It might be awkward, but it's an idea.

Yikes! Are you in pain or do you have drugs to control that? Try to get some exercise, maybe you could go for a walk.
Feel better!
