Goodness, it is already October. Prime knitting season and the perfect time for a light, sweater like Kirra. But is Kirra not finished. Ugh, not even close.
I just spent the better part of 20 minutes moving all eighty billion stitches onto waste yarn to get an idea of the length because it is impossible to gauge on the needles because of the sweaters construction.

The sweater is just below my butt in the back and just above my belly button in the front. How fun. That means at least... I don't know 6 more inches?! In the picture it falls at least a third of the way down the model's thigh. From the few finished ones on Rav. it appears only one person made it that far. It seems most others stopped sooner.
6 more inches... that's only about 36 more rows on fifty trillion stitches. *Sigh* Don't expect to see this one at Rhinebeck this weekend...
Oh, did I mention it already weighs as much as a baby elephant??

Keep Going! I finished my Kiama (short sleeved/shorter version of Kirra) last week, and LOVE it. (and, yes, those last rows are tedious!)
