Over a month!

Oh wow! Sorry bloggy world (if there's anyone left), work has just gotten the best of me and I'm so burnt out that taking time to blog (or knit) is just not happening. I've even been rarely looking at Ravelry (*gasp*). Which makes me wonder... if I'm not knitting and not Ravelrying, what the heck am I doing in my "down time?" Being a zombie in front of the TV and sleeping. Super exciting blog fodder!!

And of course as we near the beginning of May, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel on the semester, but there's also a mountain of work to be scaled before the end (sorry for the mixing of metaphors). I've got so much grading to do, but at least I'm to the point of the semester in which students are doing presentations and I don't have to prepare lectures. But I do have to grade their presentations, and papers, and exams.

On top of all that, I agreed to do a book review. About two weeks ago I was in a panic because it was Thursday and I thought it was due on Friday, but fortunately found out that I had about 2 more weeks until the deadline. So have I been working on it? Of course not!!! I'm as bad as my students and waiting until the last minute.

Looking outside it has finally gotten gorgeous. Yesterday was rainy and dreary and depressing and cold. Right now we have the windows open, birds are chirping, and the sun is shining. Which is all demotivational to doing the pile of grading in the corner, tackling the impossibly large stack of laundry, and writing an exam for Tuesday.

(I'll try not to disappear for so long next time!!!!)

Your schedule sounds like reason enough to not blog. Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is a train heading straight towards one.
