Pattern Source: Created by Nik

Yarn: Dunno, size 6 needles

Pattern Source: This one is from the top down. Cast on 12, increase 1 stitch per every three stitches. Knit 1 round plain. Increase 1 stitch per every four stitches. Knit 1 round plain. Repeat increasing (and increasing the number of stitches between increases) until 104 stitches total. Knit around until seems big enough (about 5 inches from last increase round). K2, P2 for the brim for about 4-6 inches as per your preference.

Yarn: Blue Sky Alpaca's Alpaca and Silk (two strands held together), size 6 needles (blue is Koigu to crochet edge, added to pompom, and duplicate stitched for decoration).

Notes: I originally bought 4 skeins of Alpaca/Silk. I made a hat for my dad and had enough left over for a hat for me.
